13yrs old Youtube star dies tragically

YouTube star Caleb Logan Bratayley has shockingly died at the young age of 13.

The teenager, part of a family that rose to fame thanks to sharing the exploits of their children on social media, died suddenly on Thursday of what is being referred to as “natural causes.”

Caleb’s mother shared news of his passing on Instagram on Friday, posting a picture of the boy and his younger sister Hayley, along with the caption:

Yesterday at 7:08PM Caleb Logan Bratayley passed away of natural causes. This has come as a shock to all of us. Words cannot describe how much we will miss him. His incredibly funny, loving and wonderful spirit made us all fall in love with him as a YouTuber, friend, brother and son. We know you tune in to watch each day and eagerly anticipate new videos, but ask that you bear with us while we deal with this tragedy as a family. Please help us honor our, baked potato.

The next day, the family posted a video of Caleb filmed the day before his death, in which the teen heartbreakingly talks about what he would say to his future self. Along with the clip, the family offered further confirmation of his death:

It is with our deepest sorrow to report that the Instagram announcement was indeed true. In addition to our desire to give the Internet community the chance to begin the grieving process, we also wanted to post this video to show a healthy and happy Caleb doing what he loved. Thank you for all the love and support that everyone has shown our family. And we ask for continued love and support as we move through the grieving process.

According to TMZ, law enforcement authorities responded to a call for a “medical emergency” at the family’s Maryland house on Thursday night. The teen was then transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The website reports that the death is not believed to be a suicide and that he had no history of drug use.
