The Ali Forney Center for homeless LGBTQ youth located in Brooklyn, New York got more than one celebrity visitor over the holiday weekend: While Madonna visited kids on Thanksgiving Day, Lady Gaga brought an acoustic performance of “Million Reasons” on Friday.
“I’m here today not because I had to excruciatingly pull time out of my schedule to come be here. I’m here because I want to be here,” she said, according to iHeartRadio. “And I’m here because I want this to affect other people around the world, and to remind them that when they are kind, it not only makes the other person feel good, but it makes me feel good too.”
A fan in attendance shot video of her performance as she sat atop a piano with a guitar wearing a T-shirt that read, “Be Brave.” Gaga also posted a snapshot to Twitter of herself leading kids in a meditation circle.
“I spent a beautiful morning w/ youth @AliForneyCenter the largest drop-in center in the [world],” she wrote. “I brought [gifts] & led them in a group meditation.”
