Christmas: Police Ban Fireworks in Adamawa

The Police in Adamawa Police has placed a ban on fireworks during the holidays across the state.

The warning was issued in a statement by the spokesman of the command, SP Othman Abubakar on Wednesday in Yola.

He also advised parents and guardians to caution their wards as the command would not hesitate in arresting anyone caught selling or using fireworks.

He listed the ban items to include knockouts, banger and other explosives.

“This callous attitude may cause not only distractions to the general public but may also constitute a security threat and other environmental hazards. The command therefore, advises parents to warn their children/wards to refrain from such ugly trend as police will not hesitate to clamp down on any person(s) caught selling or using these firework.”
