Maje To Sue Toke On Her Book, “Unbecoming,” Says It’s Exaggerated Fabrication


According to reports, Radio Presenter, Toke Makinwa’s estranged husband, Maje Ayida has hired British lawyers to sue Toke Makinwa  over her tell all book ‘On Becoming’ which he says is an “exaggerated fabrication”.

The fitness instructor has also asked her to stop the sales of the book and all forms of promotional activities.

The lawyers engaged by Maje according to reports manages legal issues for famous people/groups including Simon Cowell, Elton John and Chelsea FC, while his Nigerian lawyer Kemi Pinheiro (SAN) is also in the team.

A ‘Letter of Demand’ has reportedly been sent to Toke with notations including a revelation that in 2014, she signed an agreement after Ayida “requested legal separation” from her ‘within 6 months’ of their marriage in January 2014 — when it became obvious that the marriage was breaking down”.

The law firm further noted that the publication has brought “public ridicule” on Maje, noting that his reputation has been “assaulted, injured and damaged.”

“His professional integrity as one of the leading health and wellness practitioners in Nigeria, and his professional credibility built over the years through dedicated hard work have been besmirched”, the letter revealed.

According to the law firm, Makinwa’s representation of Ayida in the book was “not a true reflection of who he is, his character and his background.”

Toke Makinwa’s tell-all book, On Becoming, had detailed her account of her relationship/marriage to Ayida.

In the book, the television personality accused Ayida of giving her sexually transmitted diseases,
being a serial cheat and committing adultery.

Nigerian Novelist, Buchi Emecheta Dies at 72


Nigerian novelist, Buchi Emecheta, passed away on Wednesday, 25th day of January 2016 at the age of 72 in London.

She was born on July 21, 1944 to the family of Alice Okwuekwuhe Emecheta and Jeremy Nwabudinke, both parents were from Ibusa, Delta state.

Emecheta authored over 20 books in her lifetime, notable among which are, Second-Class Citizen (1974), The Bride Price (1976), The Slave Girl (1977) and The Joys of Motherhood (1979).

Mark Zuckerberg Reveals He is No Longer An Atheist


Facebook CEO, Mark Zuckerberg had revealed through a Facebook post that he is no longer an atheist.

The 32 year old who had for years described himself as atheist on his Facebook profile and claimed he had no faith seem to have made a new turn.

Zuckerberg in a Christmas Day message wished all his followers a Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah.

“Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah from Priscilla, Max, Beast and me.”

In response to a comment asking if he was atheist, he said,

“No. I was raised Jewish and then I went through a period where I questioned things, but now I believe religion is very important.”

This happened following his high-profile meeting with Pope Francis.

The Facebook founder has previously praised the Buddhism of his Priscilla Chan, posting a photo of himself praying during a visit to a pagoda in Xi’an.
