There’s nothing that says “‘The Walking Dead’ is returning soon” like the sight of a fresh zombie who obviously hasn’t had lunch yet.
Fans of AMC’s mega-rated zombie apocalypse series have been feasting on its companion show, “Fear the Walking Dead,” for the past few weeks.
But fear not, “Dead” heads — “The Walking Dead” mothership is creeping around the fringes of the TV schedule and is set to terrify you in just a matter of weeks with lots of flesh-ripping drama.
A new shot (center photo above) from the show’s Season 6 premiere — an extra-long 90-minute episode dropping Sunday, Oct. 11 at 9 p.m. — shows one of the undead folks that Sheriff Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and crew will encounter this season. And there’s more where that came from.
In other news on “The Walking Dead” front, cast members Tovah Feldshuh (Deanna Monroe), Alexandra Breckenridge (Jessie Anderson) and Austin Nichols (Spencer Monroe) have been promoted to series regulars, according to the Hollywood Reporter — though how long they’ll last in the deadly “Walking Dead” universe is anyone’s guess.
